Traces of Palanpur I

We are older than old.
This is our place, our time
souls – all souls –
we are sparks of light
dancing and held in the dark light
of the Ancient Ones.

A crowd gathers for a royal procession in Palanpur. Based on a photograph from my grandfather, the drawing is a recreation of his memory and an exaltation of the beautiful culture we share.
