Traces of Lisbon I
This work was inspired by a photograph of a Portuguese palace. I forget I ever visited that place looking at the image, remembering it instead from a dream. It was located on a mountain, merged with its surroundings as if it were a part of the mountain. Making the drawing I remembered such tiny details and memories associated with that moment in the palace – details I wouldn’t have remembered just looking at the photograph.
